Brittany Cooper

Founder + Principal Designer + Creative Director

Brittany Cooper is the Founder and Principal Designer of Rathell Designs, a North Carolina based interior design firm specializing in residential, medical and wellness spaces, and hospitality interiors. A North Carolina native and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, Brittany brings a background in fashion, entrepreneurship, and visual storytelling to her work.

Before founding Rathell Designs, Brittany opened and operated five women’s boutiques throughout the Southeast. That experience shaped the way she approaches interiors today, from understanding how people experience a space to her eye for texture, proportion, detail, and creating a strong visual story.

Brittany’s work is known for its warm, modern approach, with influences from Scandinavian and biophilic design. She believes spaces should be beautiful, but they should also feel good to live, work, gather, and spend time in. This philosophy carries across the firm’s residential projects as well as its growing work in medical, wellness, and hospitality design.

Her work and perspective have been recognized by Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, VERANDA, Business of Home, and The Spruce, and she has served as a High Point Market Ambassador.

In 2027, Brittany will open a retail store and design studio in Cary, North Carolina, marking the next chapter for the firm and its continued growth into a broader design and lifestyle brand.

At the heart of Brittany’s work is a simple belief. Great design should feel personal, function beautifully, and create a lasting connection to the people who experience it.
